The museum of science & industry in Tampa, Florida ( MOSI to friends ) is hosting one of those anatomy exhibits where the displays use real, live cadavers. Its going on right now, so you'd best get youreslf to Tampa...
...
Okay, if the idea of seeing corpses with the flesh flayed from the bodies to reveal the various inner workings isnt eneough to drag you down to Florida, how about a skinless corpse show thats been voted down by the state board that regulates the use and display of corpses?
How about a mutilated cadaver show thats been blocked by the state, AND got its bodies from china, where they were unclaimed and the identities unkown....
from reuters:
Board members who opposed the exhibit said they were concerned the bodies would not be displayed with the proper respect. The bodies have been put in poses with such titles as "Running Man" and "Soccer Player."
Funny how that little moral quandry makes the whole thing so much more interesting. The museum gave the board the finger and went ahead with the exhibit. Showing now. You can get tickets here.
